Electrofusion weld fitting Leaks and Repairs

Various leaks on 150mm (6 inch) Electrofusion weld fitting located in car park supplying 58 properties with potable water.
The leak had manifested itself in the entrance of the building, causing significant water damage.
We carried out Water Analysis on the leaking water and found trace Chlorine and nitrates.
We injected ZECT™ Leak Tracer Agent into the Potable cold water mains supply and then tracked and traced the Leak Tracer Agent.
There was a blocked foul drain and also at least 5 leaks on the Electrofusion weld fitting located in car park
Scope of Works – Underground Leak in Car Park
- Erect safety barriers
- Inform occupants that water was being turned off for 2 hours with specific times
- Carry out On Site Risk Assessment
- Use Cat and Genny and Tools to check for hidden underground cables etc
- Excavate area
- Take out defective pipe and fittings
- Install new Electrofusion weld pipe and fittings
- Test when appropriate
- Make good area including surface asphalt
